Biographical Sketch
Of
Carson E. Wise, Sr.

         The Reverend Carson E. Wise, Sr., a native of Lexington, South Carolina, is the eldest of five children born to the late Mr. and Mrs. W. Robert Lee Anderson. Rev. Wise is married to the former Ms. Bonnie R. Nix of Columbia, South Carolina. He is the proud father of three daughters: Robin, Kay, Labonnie, and one son: Carson II, born to this union. 

After graduation from the Lexington Rosenwald High School, with honors, he served six years in the United States Air Force.  Currently, he pastors the New Bethany Baptist Church of Washington, DC.  He is also a practicing Real Estate Broker in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. 

He has earned several degrees:  a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History/Philosophy from Benedict College; a Master in Business Administration from Federal City College; a Master of Divinity and a Doctorate of Ministry in Theology from the Andersonville Theological Seminary and College, Camilla, Georgia.

His ambition is to motivate others to practice Christian living through teaching, preaching, counseling and living a life of integrity, commitment and humility. He has been in vocational ministry for more than twenty years.  He has been the preacher, revivalist, lecturer and teacher on religious and secular topics at various churches and secular institutions from Alaska to Florida, the Bahamas, and from Connecticut to California.

  He presently serves as President of the Eastern Region of the Progressive National Baptist Convention, Inc., staff member of the Congress of Christian Education of the Progressive National Baptist Convention, Inc., Treasurer of the Washington, DC Hall of Fame Society, Inc., Member Board of Directors of M.I.C.C.0., Associate Chaplain of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of DC, member of Jonathan Davis Consistory #1 (32nd degree) and Chaplain of the 4^th District Police Advisory Board in Washington, DC.

Rev. Wise's most urgent desire is to do more and more for the Lord, our God.
